My name is Karli, but you can call me your new copywriter.

I’ve spent the past six years writing in-house, working closely with creative marketing teams and am a storyteller at heart. Whether it’s through blogs, emails, product descriptions, or whatever you can dream up, I’m passionate about helping tell your brand’s story.

I possess a genuine love of language (and the Oxford comma), an editor’s eye for errors, a deadline-driven mindset, and a deep appreciation for a well-placed em dash.

I earned a BA in Film & Video Studies from Purdue University, and later lived in Paris teaching English, writing personal essays, and speaking broken French. Before becoming a full-time copywriter, I worked in Hollywood casting big-budget films and television series, like NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles.

When I’m not working, I’m likely thrifting, browsing a bookstore, or at my local cinema with a large popcorn. I love live music, long walks, takeout-fueled movie marathons, and chipping away at my debut memoir — a collection of essays titled Motherluck.

I’m currently based in Austin, TX and am available for freelance or full-time opportunities.
